- This antique Antilope horn walking stick is highly decorated with in-lay work. Decoration work on this stick has been done by mother of Pearl Inlaying process. This art is a precious ancient cultural heritage of humanity which initially came from Azerbaijan and Turkiye. Handle and Body of this stick are elaborately carved with this type of in-lay work.
- Vintage art of “Mother of Pearl Inlay” is the practice of inserting mother of pearl pieces into wooden objects. In this stick hollow pieces of horns have been mounted together and then they have been decorated by carefully laying pieces of different colour and of ivory, neatly inlayed on it.
- As a practice Craftspeople begin by cutting the inner shells of molluscs into different shapes. They draw motifs on a piece of wood, carve out the outlines and shape the mother of pearl pieces, which are then inlaid to the wood. Finally, the surface is polished. Practitioners use dark colours to contrast with the white of the mother of pearl. Geometrical, floral and calligraphic motifs are often used for embellishment.

This is an Unused Original Antique Dazey 2 Quart – DAISY BUTTER CHURN #20. It even has the original label. This design is marked as patented on 2/14/1922. Stands 12″ tall to the top of the crank mechanism bottom of the jar measures 4.5″ x 4.5″ and the opening has a 4″ diameter
